This thesis is aimed to review the characterises, pathophysiology and current treatment of HIV and AIDS.As the treatment is the main subject of this thesis, mechanism of action, administration and adverse effects are also under the scope of this work. Moreover, it is also presents the latest pre-exposure prophylaxis treatment which aims to reduce HIV infection in individuals with predisposition in the form of risk factors.
