dc.description.abstractWhether we approach representation in a wider sense (philosophical) or in a narrower sense (political), the concept is – either way – polysemic, because its meaning is determined in many respects by many factors. Representation therefore should be delt with as a contested concept. Political representation – it turns out – is a modern concept, in which the particular but very complex relationship between the representative and represented has been brought in close relationship with such basic concepts as freedom, democracy, free elections and justice, whereas political representation had litte or nothing to do with these core values earlier. In spite of the pluralist interpretation of the concept, we can distinguish statistical and substantive political representation, the first referring to voters’ political preferences expressed in Parliamentary seats, while the substantive representation refers to the content of the governmental decisions in public affairs, with respect to social expectations. The purpose of this paper is to examine political representation through morphological method, for a better understanding of its inner structure and of the interdependency of its core elements.en
dc.description.abstractAkár tágabb értelemben (filozófiai), akár szűkebb (politikai) megközelítésben elemezzük, a képviselet mindenképp poliszemikus fogalom, jelentését több szempont és tényező szabja meg, ezért vitatható fogalomként (contested concept) kezelendő. Politikai keretek közé szorítva, a képviselet fogalmának történeti feltárásával fény derül arra, hogy egy modern fejleménnyel szembesülünk, amelyben az ember-ember sajátos kapcsolatára utaló képviselő és képviselt közötti viszony szoros kapcsolatba van állítva a szabadsággal, a demokráciával, a szabad választásokkal vagy akár az igazságossággal, azaz, olyan fogalmakkal, amelyekhez a képviseletnek korábban nem, vagy csak igen ritkán volt köze.  Plurális értelmezése ellenére, a demokratikus politikai képviseleten belül megkülönböztethetünk mennyiségi és tartalmi képviseletet. Az előbbi – leegyszerűsített formában – a szavazói pártpreferenciák testületi levetülésére, vagyis a képviselők parlamenti párthovatartozásának szám szerinti megoszlására utal. Az utóbbi, a közérdeket érintő parlamenti döntésekre, kormányintézkedésekre vonatkozik, azzal az alapvető kérdésfelvetéssel kiegészítve, hogy vajon milyen – a „közérdek” forrását és formálását közvetlenül meghatározó – viszony áll fenn képviselő és képviselt között. Jelen dolgozat célkitűzése a képviselet fogalomszerkezeti keretekbe foglalása, annak reményében, hogy sikerül rávilágítani a demokratikus politikai képviselet lényegi aspektusaira, a fogalom dinamizmusára, különös hangsúlyt fektetve a mennyiségi képviseletre.hu
