késő modernitás globalizációelmélete és a kockázattársadalmi identitás
    (2017-03-31) Böcskei, Balázs
Modernity is the sum of the fragmented cultural systems of meaning, that are mutually influential on each other, plus of economic and political relations continually changing and transforming – a complexity that manifests itself in the structure of the (world) risk society even on the level of the individual. Following the late modern turn, the phenomenon of the means and opportunities determining the ability of choice is not being shared equally, but multiplied as regards global actors, as well as choice of identity, perceptibility of risks and facing them. The study presents the new inequality factors and the asymmetric power relations of the late modernity along the works by the recently died sociologists of the globalization theory (Ulrich Beck and Zygmunt Bauman). In the world risk society, each community and individual bear the risks indifferently. Accordingly, the ascertainments of the study are that the globalised economy and the subjects of the local poverty do not possess the same degree of the freedom of maneuvering. In order to demonstrate this and also to identify each postmodern life-strategy, the study relies on the works on identity by the discussed sociologists. According to the latter, the study concludes, that the reflexivity of the risk is the most profitable for those who are in the high position of the new inequality, thus, have the power to determine conflicts generated by them and inflict them on those excluded from the struggle of definition of risk.

    (2017-03-31) Fábián, György
The democratic transition in Eastern and Central Europe provides a good opportunity to examine how to apply the findings of the science of elections in a new dimension. This study based on 167 elections in 23 countries shows the formation, evolution and political consequences of the new electoral systems. The hypothesis of the paper is that the elections and electoral systems in this region not always correspond to the conventional wisdom. Our analysis divides into five parts the region (Central Europe, Western and Eastern Balkans, Baltic States and the other former republics of Soviet Union). This division helps to get an sophisticatad picture about the emergence and changes of the new electoral systems. By showing country by country we can demonstrate the similarities and differences between and within subgroups as well. Finally using three well-known indices (least square index, effective electoral and parliamentary number of parties) the study summarizes – country by country and subgroups by subgroups by type – the political consequences for the proportionality and party structure. The analysis of the 167 elections demonstrates that Eastern and Central Europe does not show uniformity regarding the political consequences of the electoral systems. Their influence is more moderate than in the established democracies and they are also much more volatile. Their changes have shown rather diverging than converging trend in the last quarter century. The conventional findings are difficult to apply for this region, they are only partially valid, especially the formation of party structure differ from the previous experiences. In sum the Eastern and Central European elections do not invalidate the conventional statements of the elctoral studies but they offen do not show corresponding image. So they significantly contribute to the further development and refinement of the previous findings.

    (2017-03-31) Nagy, Levente
Modern democracies, based on pluralism, recognize and affirm diversity, permit peaceful coexistence of different interests, values and convictions, and advocate a form of political moderation. For democracy to function and to be successful two of the most challenging questions must be raised and answered: Who have the right for collective decision-making? What principle should be used for these people to be elected? With the development of modern democracies it has become more and more accepted the idea that democracy should rest upon the principle of majority rule, coupled with individual and minority rights. Majority rule thus refers to the quantitative aspect of democracy, while individual and minority rights express the qualitative or constitutional aspect of it. A detailed analysis of democratic decision-making processes shows that not all decisions made by legislature – whose members are elected by the majority of the people – are effective and good decisions, and points at the fact that most of the democratic decisions are not made by the majority but by minority groups, who quite often take the initiative and can seriously influence the majority. This paper focuses on these issues.

A diskurzus elfojtása: Az alt-right-hoz köthető rejtett internetes közösségek és a 2016. évi amerikai elnökválasztás
    (2017-03-31) Kiss, Sándor
I examine the US presidential election of 2016 and how hidden groups related to the alt-right manipulated the social media with hoaxes and memes. I examine some of the media platforms and forums where these contents mainly appeared during the campaign and I also present the anatomy of the groups’ previous actions, and from these I attempt to demonstrate that their efforts are coordinated and their methods have become more sophisticated in the recent years.

Rácz Andrea (szerk.) (2018): Szülői kompetenciafejlesztést célzó modellprogramok a gyermekjóléti szolgáltatások tárházában

Debunking Myths about the American Presidential Elections of 2016 and Failures in the Social Sciences
    (2017-03-31) Weaver, Eric Beckett
Throughout the campaign and following the elections of 2016, the two major political parties cherished stories about what happened, and why it happened. Some of these stories have some basis in fact, while others are completely mythical, and nevertheless believed. These stories, or myths, arise from the political desires and belief systems of those who tell them. In what follows we will examine these stories in the lights of the facts

    (2017-12-31) Szendi, Nikoletta
Nowadays, numerous new automobiles are being developed by various companies and their suppliers around the globe. On account of the reduction of the product’s economic lifetime and effects of the global market, n the automotive segments the time factor plays a key role in the successful implementation of the project and consequently in the sale of the product. The current study, focusing on human conditions, scrutinizes the behaviour of the members engaged in the project. It’s primary focus is not to reveal the hindering factors due to time-losses arising from the shortage of resources or inadequate planning. These conspicuous reasons and the demonstration as well as treatment of risk, belong to the scope of the board of project portfolio management, which operates well among larger project organizations. Each project member is taking an individual approach towards meeting deadlines, and their motivation about the execution of the given tasks also vary. Beyond the results found both in the professional literature as well as general research, I study whether the unique features of the actual automotive organizational projects can be identified or not. The ongoing research observes, based on the experience acquired from the automobile development project, motivation and adherence to deadlines, the composition of the team impacting work efficiency.

EU tagállamok innovációs és versenyképességi klaszteresedése 2013-ban
    (2017-12-31) Balda, Gábor
In the era of the innovation economy it is natural that innovation is one of the key definitions, because of its literature is excessively far-reaching: global, micro and macro level, in connection of the business and non-business sector, it’s also defined in social context. The literary background of this essay shows a historical overview of the development that occurred in the definition of innovation and its different interpretations. After exploring the literary background a quantitative, descriptive and explanatory statistic analysis will be written in a monothetic and deductive approach. In this phase of my research I will make macro level international comparative analyzes with the help of the EU and the WEF (World Economic Forum) data base (Innovation Union Scoreboard, illetve Global Competitiveness Index), and the SPSS software. This essay’s goal is to determine whether there is a connection between innovation processes and the forming of competitiveness on a macro level and if there is how it can be interpreted. Later with a similar goal and methodology I would like to make international micro level comparative analyzes and then by combining the macro and micro level results, I will determine how the macro level innovation policy influences the micro level innovativeness and competitiveness. Using all of these results I would like to determine the special features of the national innovation policy and the chances for optimalization.

In this second paper, we are attempting to demonstarte the changes in the political/citizenshiprelated and cultural-historical national identity of the Hungarian ethnic minority in Vojvodina. With the end of Yugoslavia as a country this ethnic minority became Serbian citizens. The new leaders of Serbia had an adverse view on this ethnic minority until 2014 when the Serbian political leaderership changed their political identity and favoured the West instead of EasternEurope. The financial aid provided by the Hungarian Government to the Hungarians living in Vojvodina, which targeted cultural and economic development in the area, aimed to better the life and strenghten the national identity of this ethnic minority. Those who received financial aid developed a better outlook on life. The possibility to acquire Hungarian citizenship easily strenghtened the Hungarian national identity of this minority and contributed to population decline. While people migrating to Hungary are primarily motivated by access to better education, others migrate to Western Europe for work.

Today, researchers and practitioners also interested in the questions of successful leadership of organizations as well as efficient and effective change management. In our paper, we combine these two areas of research and in the form of a literature review examine what kind of leadership style, role, behaviour is needed to successfully convert organizations through change processes. We emphasise the behaviour aspects of change implementation. After defining the concepts that are most relevant to our topic, we first collect models and research findings from the literature on change management, which deal with how to lead changes, and then explore the approaches associated with organizational changes from the leadership literature. Finally, we try to draw conclusions that according to the research we have studied, what are the characteristics of successful change leadership.

The study uses previous analysis and research reports to review the evolution of adult education. It presents the national and regional contexts, after that engages in the detailed presentation of adult education – structures, conditions, practices and functioninig – in Harghita county. One of the conclusions from the review of previous analysis and research reports is that the basic practices of adult education evolved during the first two decades of transition are still very dominant in today’s functioning of adult education. The possible current chances of adult education are not yet exploited neither in regional policy planning nor in regional development practice. There are further research and development tasks and opportunities in adult education.

    távolsági ingázás néhány demográfiai sajátossága
    (2022-11-05) Balcsók, István
The study aims to show the most important demographic characteristics of long-term commuting workers and the emerging territorial disparities using the latest available statistics. The main motivation for commuting, including long commuting, is still to get the job they deem appropriate, but about a quarter of a million people take on much greater burdens than average and only travel home weekly or less frequently in Hungary. Most of them make this decision by force, as there are no job opportunities in their place of residence, but the income they provide is very important for their families. Long-term commuters mostly do seasonal work (construction, catering, etc.) and work in physical jobs. Unsurprisingly, men are more likely to take on the life form with increased physical and psychological strain, but not only the heads of the family in their forties, but also young people in their 20s who are not yet independent of their families are represented in large numbers. Long commuting is characterised by marked territorial inequalities, and those affected mainly start from villages, despite the fact that the high level of public employment in the most disadvantaged areas is affecting the direction of the stay of the workforce.
