Absztrakt
The fundamental thesis of the present work is that Celtic heritage survived and outlived its
immediate cultural context and integrated into various cultural texts, lived on well into the
21st century. Celtic culture’s survival through all these centuries is a manifestation of cultural
continuity which enables the understanding of cultural practices, general codes, and signs.
The cultural knowledge of correctly interpreting conventions, traditions, and social
consciousness and the realization of the ideologically driven misinterpretations and
simplifications are essential to comprehend the fundamental processes of cultural continuity.
It is the premise of cultural survival and its counter-ideological responses that I wish to
structure my thesis around.
