This thesis examines how the #MeToo movement has influenced the portrayal of ageing women in Hollywood cinema. Through analysis of industry trends and cinematic representations, it explores shifts in gender dynamics and narrative authenticity. Integrating feminist film theory and critical age studies, the research highlights the intersectional dynamics of gender, age, and power in film. By identifying key changes in industry practices and narratives, the study contributes to both theoretical understanding and practical applications within ageing women's representation in cinema.
