Abstract

Sealing the dentin surface immediately with an adhesive system after tooth preparation and before taking the impression in indirect restoration prevents the dentin from being contaminated with saliva and blood. Furthermore, the bond between dentin and DBA slowly matures, and dentin bond strength increases.Application of IDS comforts patients during the provisional phase and limits local anesthesia use during permanent restoration placement and Reduces postoperative sensitivity.
