Representations of the Female Characters in Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbervilles and Fowles' The French Lieutenant's Woman

Abstract

In my thesis I would like to concentrate on the female protagonists in Hardy and Fowles’ novels. I would like to examine their lives from different point of views and analyze their personalities and relationships with the other characters and their effects on each other and the authors’ relations with them.
