Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) is a rare potentially life-threatening disease of the pulmonary vasculature. A distinct entity (group 4) in the classification of pulmonary hypertension, with a substantial reduction in the quality of life and a significant burden on society due to the need for excessive health care utilization. BPA is an important treatment strategy in inoperable patients.
