Nowadays, the Vietnamese natural rubber production becomes one of the major industries which contribute to the country’s GDP significantly. In 2012, the output of natural rubber exports of Vietnam was 1.02 tons, reached 2.85 billion USD. Vietnam has favorable conditions for planting rubber trees. Therefore, natural rubber just planted in Vietnam by French for over 100 years ago, but the rubber area is constantly expanding. In particular, the Southeast Asia region which consists of Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, China and Vietnam is the largest area even though rubber is originated from South America. Vietnam is the 5th largest country in the world in the production of rubber, in 2013 Vietnam rank 2nd in the world for natural rubber export. Beside the advantages, Vietnamese natural rubber also faces challenges such as Natural disasters, floods and more devastating, directly influence of rubber plantation productivity. In addition rubber prices fluctuate sharply depending on the volatility of world prices as well as the needs of the importing country. Vietnam have modernized the producing technique, also applied new machines in order to rise up the rubber latex quality and quantity recently. Even though synthetic rubber accounts for the majority of applications in the social life, but cannot completely replace natural rubber. In the industry, the majority of natural rubber (accounted 70%) is used to make tires, mattresses, cable, car parts, aircraft etc. The application of synthetic rubber could not replace the natural rubber to manufacture the tire heavy truck, aircraft, etc. However, in the context of the global economic crisis is directly affect to the demand of car production industry, while the tire industry consumes nearly 70% of natural rubber in the world, therefore, the natural rubber industry have to face many difficulties. Thus, natural rubber has always played an important role in the field of industrial and especially the car industry, and also associated with the development of oil industry and the world's economic growth. Vietnamese government also has policies for the expansion of the area and improves the quality of products from natural rubber latex, which aims to compete with rubber exporter in the world and bring the Vietnamese rubber industry to ranked number one in the future.hu_HU
