    Attitudes Towards Environmentalism in Hungary and in the United States

    The following thesis sheds light on environmental problems and its consequences society has to face. Furthermore, it examines how people react to certain environmental problems and how they act against them. Important points examined include eco-anxiety and egoistic, altruistic and biospheric attitudes. This thesis discusses veganism and zero-waste as well, most importantly their benefits to society. Moreover, it also includes an online survey about how Hungarian and American people contribute to environmentalism.

    Portraying Protagonists in Reality Shows: An Analysis of Jury Duty and the Kardashian Franchise

    This thesis examines the shows included in the Kardashian franchise as well as Jury Duty, all of which have been greatly successful in the past years. The process of creating these shows and their aims are crucial to look into since these shows have been influential in shaping the audience's opinions about the characters. In the Kardashian shows one can see the everyday life of celebrities with all its ups and downs however, one can see a clear change between the shows discussed regarding the portrayal of the characters. Similarly, in Jury Duty, there is a significant emphasis on the main character. Therefore, this thesis focuses on how the portrayal of celebrities and ordinary people differ and how the concept of simulacrum can be used as part of this analysis.
