A socalled economic orientation can also be observed in the field of leisure time sports, which was made into law in Hungary in 2011 allowing the support of sport organisations and resulting in a number of infrastructural developments in Hungary. A wide range of development opportunities remain open in sports. This evaluation aims to introduce what significant sport-investment projects have been implemented in the Northern Great Plain region in recent decades and what effects these investments have had. Surveys have been used to reveal whether these facilities originating from years of sport developments are sustainable and to what extent these are exploited for organising sport events. Based on responses provided by a number of sport facilities – including ones built in the past and also ones opened recently – it can be concluded that sport in itself cannot solve the issue of operation and possible economic growth. Considering these aspects, it is important to incorporate, not only in operation but also during planning, the idea that current facilities must „serve” not solely sport events as these in themselves will not make them profitable but they must remain open for all sorts of social events as well.Tétel Szabadon hozzáférhető IS THERE AN IDEAL AGE TO WIN AN OLYMPIC MEDAL?(2020-03-30) Balatoni, Ildikó; Jenes, Ágnes; Kosztin, Nikolett; Csernoch, LászlóKnowledge of the age at which elite athletes achieve peak performance could provide invaluable information for the athletes to plan their career, to carefully select sports events promising successful participation. We aimed to identify the age at which top athletes achieved their Olympic medals, and to observe any changes in the average medal-winning age over the last decades. The age of Olympic medallists between 1960 Rome and 2016 Rio were collected using an online database. Data were gathered from the following individual sports: track and field, swimming, fencing (foil, épée, saber), triple jump, long jump, high jump, and wrestling (57 events all together). The study evaluates and compares the trends in the age of the winners in each discipline. Disciplines of this study show one of the two trends: the trend of increasing age, or trend of decreasing in age. In those disciplines, in which the Olympic medallists were younger than 26 years at the beginning of the examination period, such as swimming, the medallists became older over the decades. In those disciplines, however, in which the top three were older than 26 years at the beginning of the examination period, such as fencers, younger and younger athletes won their Olympic medals as time went by. The age and the trend in the changes of the age of the medallists in the examined disciplines support the theory of an optimal age, being around 26 years.Tétel Korlátozottan hozzáférhető Is there an ideal age to win an olympic medal?(2020) Balatoni, Ildikó; Jenes, Ágnes; Kosztin, Nikolett; Csernoch, LászlóTétel Korlátozottan hozzáférhető A jogi személyiség nélüli gazdasági társaságok megszűnésének sajátosságai(2011-08-25T09:00:02Z) Kosztin, Nikolett; Törő, Emese; DE--TEK--Állam- és Jogtudományi KarDolgozatom első fejezetében igyekeztem több oldalról is bemutatni a kkt-k bt-k kialakulásának és megszűnésének jogi hátterét.A kérdéskör jobb szemlélhetősége végett szakdolgozatom második részében törekedtem arra, hogy az egész-rész viszonylatában, azaz az általános szabályok és a specialitások összevetésével mutassam be a jogi személyiség nélküli gazdasági társaságok megszűnésének sajátosságait az elérhető szakirodalom áttekintésével. Physical exercise has many positive effects in the postpartum period as well, as it reduces anxiety, improves mood, optimizes body weight and enhances fitness. During our research, we examined the changes in the sporting habits of mothers with small children compared to the pre-natal state, with a special emphasis on the time spent at home and the time of returning to work concerning children of ages of six months and up to three years, respectively. One-third of the respondents did not play any sports before giving birth and a further one-third does not have time for that. 17.1% of the mothers returning to work participate in some sort of sporting activities at least once a week. In addition to maternity duties, a significant proportion of women do not have time for themselves. Further research would be necessary to explore possible solutions in this matter.Tétel Szabadon hozzáférhető A külföldi munkavállalás hatása a sportolási szokásokra(2020-02-28) Kosztin, Nikolett; Balatoni, IldikóEarlier research on foreign employment has shown that the target country not only offers benefits, but can also pose risks to people that could endanger the health of the person concerned. The question in this matter arises concerning the importance of being aware of the role of regular exercise in the health of the people working abroad and whether the frequently occurring illnesses observed among them may be correlated with the possible lack of regular exercise. During our research, we asked Hungarians working abroad - in Germany - about their sporting habits. 60 respondents, in contrast to expectations based on data from previous studies, reported higher levels of regular physical activity during their stay abroad than before (in Hungary). The combined effect of a number of factors can affect the concerned individuals in this respect, mostly the social and built environment. This validates the need for the nation-wide development of a health-conscious lifestyle in Hungary.Tétel Szabadon hozzáférhető Magyarországi egyetemek hallgatóinak sportolási szokásai. Áttekintő irodalmi elemzés(2021-11-30) Kosztin, Nikolett; Balatoni, IldikóPrevious research has highlighted that the frequency of regular exercise decreases linearly with age. There is, therefore, a need for young people to develop healthy lifestyle habits for themselves. In the course of our research, a literature review of Matarka (Hungarian Periodicals Table of Contents Database), MTMT (Hungarian Scientific Bibliograhy), and publications in the archives of DEENK (University and National Library of the University of Debrecen) was conducted to find those studies that examine the sports habits of Hungarian university students. A total of 22 studies were identified. The articles concerned 10 universities. The analysis found that although a significant proportion of university students engage in sports, the conscious integration of health education into students’ lives is recommended.Tétel Szabadon hozzáférhető Munkahelyek egészségtudatosságának vizsgálata Hajdú-Bihar megyében(2020) Balatoni, Ildikó; Kosztin, NikolettTétel Szabadon hozzáférhető MUNKAHELYEK EGÉSZSÉGTUDATOSSÁGÁNAK VIZSGÁLATA HAJDÚ-BIHAR MEGYÉBEN(2020-06-29) Balatoni, Ildikó; Kosztin, NikolettIn our research, we examined the importance of maintaining the mental and physical health of employees from an employer perspective. To this end companies in Hajdú-Bihar county who are listed in the TOP 100 based on their net revenue were interviewed. The most represented economic sectors in this relation were processing, services, trade, agriculture, and construction. We examined whether companies provided any benefits to their employees concerning health awareness. Among respondents those who offered various services of medical specialists and/or discounted gym or swim passes in addition to compulsory medical examinations were hard to find, however, more employers organize health and sports days. In conclusion, while workplace health promotion is necessary it requires a change in employers’attitudes.Tétel Szabadon hozzáférhető Reasons for and obstacles to cycling in opinions of residents of Debrecen, Hungary(2017) Kosztin, Nikolett; Tőzsér, József; Csernoch, László; Balatoni, IldikóTétel Szabadon hozzáférhető Regional differences in the economical sustainability of sports halls(2016) Kosztin, Nikolett; Balatoni, IldikóTétel Szabadon hozzáférhető Regional differences in the economical sustainability of sports halls(2016-12-31) Kosztin, Nikolett; Balatoni , IldikóThe precondition of a health conscious behaviour in a community is establishing a healthy development of the community, an important part of which is the community’s attitude to sports and health. A basic manifestation of this is whether the leadership of a specific settlement is committed to developing sports facilities and, on the other hand, to what extent residents make use of these facilities. The aim of our research was to point out the number of sports facilities currently available for catering everyday physical education introduced in 2012, leisure sports and competitive sport events in two different regions of Hungary. We also examined the resources available for maintaining the facilities and the degree to which existing facilities are exploited. Existing sports halls of the Northern Great Plain and Central Transdanubia were included in the research. We wish to emphasise, in regards to the infrastructural developments of the coming few years, that it is essential to consider the fact, even in the planning phase of facilities, that sport events in themselves do not make the facilities economically sustainable. Due to the physical inactivity of a significant proportion of our current society, researchers have been looking at how the population can be persuaded to exercise sports regularly, which also included examining the impact of built environment on sporting habits. In our research, we investigated 34 swimming pools in the North Great Plain region, using a telephone interview-based questionnaire method. We reviewed the dates when the swimming pools were inaugurated, the goals set during the establishment, and the number and length of the pools. We analyzed how sporting activities such as school swimming, residential swimming, physiotherapy, training, and competitions appear in the timetable, and how the opening hours affect the usage of the pools by the population. It can be stated that based on the health indicators of the counties concerned, it would be important to educate for a healthy lifestyle, and also to ensure the possibility of swimming. At the same time, the infrastructure currently available is scarce and as such the continuation of the swimming pool building program is of paramount importance.
