    The use of oral contraceptives has long been epidemiologically known to reduce the incidence of ovarian cancer. Recently new data suggested that epigenetic changes play a vital role in the carcinogenesis of ovarian cancer. It proposes not only potential therapeutic targets and biomarkers but also a realistic opportunity for chemo prevention of ovarian cancer by combined oral contraceptives.
