Originally introduced by Leroy Hood, P4 medicine represents a shift from reactive treatment toward proactive, patient-centered healthcare. In periodontology, where disease progression varies significantly between individuals, this framework offers a more accurate and individualized approach to diagnosis, prevention, and therapy.
