The Hungarian Educational Research Journal (HERJ, ISSN: 2064-2199, DOI-prefix: 10.14413) is an international research journal focusing on actual ideas and themes in educational research. HERJ publishes academic, scholarly writings, only in English. HERJ publishes four issues per year (March, June, October, December) and it is the official journal of the Hungarian Education Research Associaion (HERA). Our articles or available online (open access).

Hungarian Educational Research Journal reflects educational research in Europe, our main focus is on Central Europe. The journal welcomes reports on survey, comparative, experimental and historical, theoretical, and both the quantitatve and qualitative perspectives studies.

HERJ is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
