There are several similarities between the two novels, for instance, how they deal with reality, fantasy and the unreal, or how they treat death, and how the protagonists' narrations are related to Störr's and Dowell's uncertainties towards love , their life, their entire worldview and thei relationship with the reader. In this paper, I am going to analyse this last aspect.
