Absztrakt

The difference of the road through history that has lead to the Punk movement in Britain and in America is therefore the basis of the difference in force, music and philosophy. The American Punks were older, than the British ones they no longer wanted to fight. It does not mean that they were not violent, only that, for them the most important things were personal freedom and that they are left alone. While in Britain the Punk‘s movement was aimed to shake the system and to spit right in the face of the aristocracy. My goal with this paper is not to introduce the various artists and bands who were involved in the Punk-Rock movement, but rather to unfold the source of difference that is so striking between the British and the American scene. I will use two films, the Breaking Glass and The Wild One to support my ideas.
