My thesis is going to analyze how Benjamin Franklin’s moral values -temperance, silence, order, resolution, frugality, industry, sincerity, justice, moderation, cleanliness, tranquility, chastity, humility- which had been cherished by all American citizens, ceased to serve as models for Americans in the 1920s.
