This work discusses the need and importance of having quality in software systems being developed, beginning with what software is, and how it is being developed, and its link to our daily lives, it also introduces software engineering, identifying attributes of good software and gives an overview of software quality management with a focus on software testing; a key element of software quality system that verifies whether the software meets its requirements as perceived by the end-users or customers. It also covers the most commonly used software testing tools available today and the steps to implement a few.
