After the 1848-1849 Revolution manz of those who were fighting against the Austrian Empire had to leave Hungary. Many emigrants chose the United States as their new home. They found prosperity in America but not all of them. A small part of the immigrants decided to come back to Hungary. This thesis examines the reasons.
