Phytocannabinoids, including delta9-THC, CBD and CBC, indicate their therapeutic potential for psychiatric disorders. Future studies should further investigate the pathophysiological and pharmacological approaches, followed by evidence-based clinical studies and accurate epidemiological data. Furthermore, investigation of cannabinoids should be compared against the therapeutic and adverse effects of available psychiatric medications, such as anti-depressant and the others.
