Burning mouth syndrome (BMS) is a chronic pain disorder characterized by burning sensation in oral mucosa with the absence of clinical lesion, the syndrome can also appear as a secondary phenomenon to a systemic disorder, or primarily associated with a neuralgic or psychogenic disorders. we tried to find out the prevalence of comorbid diseases not involving psychogenic ones, thereby identify primary and secondary BMS in this patient group.
