Absztrakt

This study focuses on various dimensions of mediation institute. Starting with its old roots and how it emerged in the law arena, along with its actual developments. Continuing with the most relevant legal instruments from an international point of view, its basic principles, and a conclusion about whether we find a unified concept all over the globe. Procedures, the portrait of the mediator, and his immunity, in the light of the client’s right to sue him after not complying with its fundamental principles. An interpretation, in particular, on the Singapore Convention, taking into consideration the most tricky aspects. And to conclude my analysis with some psychological insights on how we should behave in the role of a mediator toward the clients and which is ‘the reaction’ / ‘perception’ / ‘reflection’ on the other side.
