Dental anxiety and phobia affect patients' quality of life and oral health significantly and since a considerable percentage of the patients suffer from these conditions, their diagnosis, proper treatment, and management should be an essential part of clinical practice. On the basis of the dentist's expertise, experience, the extent of anxiety, patient understanding, age, collaboration, and clinical situation, treatment should be adapted for each patient.
