This thesis aims to analyze and compare 2 different genotypes (Gleisdorfi Classic cultivar and GL Rustical hybrid) of the Styrian pumpkin seeds under 5 different nutritional values (crude protein content, crude fiber content, crude fat content, assimilable fiber content, antioxidant capacity) when they are subjected to different amounts of nitrogen supplementation. Generally, Gleisdorfi Classic is known to be a cheaper alternative for Styrian pumpkin seeds whereas GL Rustical is a more expensive yet a more crop yielding alternative. With the findings of the analyses and graphs, it can be said that the pre-determined nitrogen supplementation levels should be recalibrated, so that the efficiency of the GL Classic and GL Rustical can be improved and can be controlled depending on the focused quality parameter. With the possible alterations made to the nitrogen levels and further tests for antioxidant values, these 2 genotypes of Styrian oil pumpkin may have a bigger role as an alternative to traditional seeds and seed oils.
