My thesis explores how erotic content is handled in English to Hungarian translations. It discovers the challenges that translators face when encountering erotica and the strategies they use. Translating erotic content is a complex process that involves recognising and balancing cultural and linguistic differences, and this research aims to explore how this process works specifically in the English-Hungarian language pair. My research was conducted by comparing a variety of different literature containing erotic content, and using relevant literature from translation and linguistic studies.
