Thesis regarding the advances of anticoagulant therapy. This was a literature review which mainly focused on the trials on the Direct acting Oral Anticoagulants (DOACs). The efficacy and clinical use of these drugs from the trial data were analysed and compared to previous anticoagulant therapy, mainly Warfarin.
