Absztrakt

HPV expresses both benign and malignant tumors. HPV-associated tumors in the oral cavity are mostly benign. The classical oral benign lesions associated with human papillomavirus are verruca vulgaris, squamous cell papilloma, condyloma acuminatum, and focal epithelial hyperplasia. The areas of the mouth that have the highest rates of HPV positive are also the areas that are most frequently subjected to microtrauma, which is a prerequisite for the transmission of HPV. Diagnosis of papillomavirus lesions is based on clinical and histopathological appearance. There is no cure for the virus, although the benign lesions it causes can be treated.
