dc.description.abstractThe aim of my thesis is to highlight the importance of relying on readers’ background knowledge which is narrowed down to the difference between the needs and interests of the two genders. In the first chapter I give a review of the theoretical studies concerning the topic of reading comprehension and the related gender issues. It is followed by a thorough description of the research. The third chapter deals with the analysis of the collected data.hu_HU
