England was and undoubtedly is the centre of tea trade and of tea cultural life. It is the nation, which could be proud of its achievements by becoming a prosperous, tea-centred country making this exotic beverage a custom and a part of everyday life. This delicious drink has significant and far-reaching past, dating back to 2700 BC, and it really deserved to be the favourite object of a core activity, the Afternoon Tea, that grew into a custom in English cultural life. These are the reasons why I would like to deal with tea, more specifically with its discovery, legend and spread. My further intention is to raise interest in my readers to become more familiar with its origin, history and tradition.hu_HU
