Sleep is essential for optimum body function. Sleep deprivation is a result of a hectic lifestyle or sleep disorders. In this paper, I focused on melatonin, melatonin receptor agonists such as ramelteon and tasimelteon, Z compounds(Zopiclone, Zopidem and Zaleplon) and benzodiazepines as pharmacological treatments. A few non pharmacological treatments were also discussed.hu_HU
