This Thesis discusses and evaluates the most important characteristic features of teaching English tenses and verbal aspects, the releated issues, and some problems of learning tenses and verbal aspects. By seeing what has been written so far about teaching grammar, we are familiarised with current viewpoints and related issues. This literature review gives insight into the characteristics of teaching grammar, and also considers recent trends and theories connected to it. By this research I intended to find the answer to the following question: What problems do teachers and students have considering teaching and learning tenses and verbal aspects? I also wanted to see the reasons and the possible solutions for it, because the students often complain about misusing and misapplying English tenses.hu_HU
