dc.description.abstractThe aim of this thesis is to examine how well the use of English component of the school-leaving examination works. In the first part, the role of grammar in communicative competence, grammar testing task types, the qualities of good grammar tests are presented. The designing of tests will be introduced with a view to measuring second language grammatical ability. The purpose of this section is to show the basic principles of grammar testing in the foreign language classroom. Those aspects are described here that are considered essential in grammar testing.hu_HU
