Measurement of the effectiveness of ceftaroline against Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus in vitro

Abstract

In a bid to bring forth solutions to the regenerating problem of antimicrobial resistance, new antimicrobials are being produced. Ceftaroline is a new 5th generation cephalosporine with remarkable potency against a wide range of multiresistant Gram-positive pathogens. This research is aimed at analyzing the in vitro effectiveness of ceftaroline against the prominent pathogen, MRSA.
