The aim of my writing is to describe the events of the British history which contributed to the growing image of India as the “Jewel of the Crown”. Throughout the revision of its history, I try to highlight the spiritual, cultural, social and economic importance of India in order to emphasize its image of potential prosperity. It seems to suggest that the key to Britain’s dependence on India was the opportunity of economic richness. Understanding England colonial past is a necessary step towards understanding its historical relations.hu_HU
