The aim of my thesis is to give a brief presentation of dyslexia and to present my research that was conducted in the area of Bács-Kiskun county in order to find out more about how dyslexia is dealt with at schools, both in primary and secondary schools. By means of the present thesis, firstly, I would like to banish prejudices that surround dyslexic learners in the traditional school framework. Secondly, I would like to present some useful advice for teachers of English on how to deal with dyslexics in the classroom, which methods to apply, attitude to adopt to best serve their interest. Thirdly, on the basis of the results of my research, I would like to draw attention to the general ignorance that surrounds dyslexia at schools, especially in secondary schools.hu_HU
