A tápoldat pH-ja (bikarbonát koncentrációja) befolyásolta a kísérleti növények apoplazmatikus pH-ját.

In my PhD thesis the effect of bicarbonate given by nutrient solution and infiltrated into the apoplast, the absolute zinc deficiency and NAA treatment, the non optimal Fe/Zn ratio, the lime treatments applied to soils with high clay and organic matter content, the biofertilizer treatment were examined on the pH, nutrient uptake and physiological parameters of the experimental plants, the extraction of organic acids by roots and on the relationship of these in the evolution of latent zinc deficiency. The bicarbonate as a stressor basified the pH of the apoplast and the nutrient solution, thereby retarded the growth, and influenced the synthesis of photosynthetic pigments. The pH (bicarbonate concentration) of the nutrient solution affects the pH of apoplastic fluid of experimental plants. The absolute zinc deficiency - via retarded auxin syntheses - can decrease the total length of shoots, the number and length of internodes (thus the high of the plant population), the relative chlorophyll contents, and the absolute contents of photosynthetic pigments. The zinc deficiency can reduce the differentation of roots. The non optimal Fe/Zn ratios of tissues caused decrease the growth of shoots and roots, the number and length of internodes. The additional biofertilizer treatment moderated the pH increasing effect of bicarbonate, thus the unfavourable effect of bicarbonate, such as decrease of growth and content of photosynthetic pigments. In addition improved the growth of plants grown on low Zn containing soils with different soil properties, as well as increased the pH of apoplastic fluid, while modified (moderated) the pH (alkalinity) of nutrient solution in an opposite way.
