dc.description.abstractIn my thesis I set out to show how computers revolutionized education and in what fields they can be applied. I am going to highlight the advantages of computer usage but I will not ignore the possible disadvantages either. In the next part I am going to concentrate on a special field, Corpus Linguistics, which has a great impact on teaching and learning in a number of developed countries. First of all, I am going to give some historical insights and show its application in different fields. After that, I am going to examine some corpora in detail. The main part of my thesis deals with the application of computers and corpora in Language Pedagogy. In the end, I share my doubts about its widespread use in Hungarian schools, in the near future at least, and I list the possible obstacles to it. Of course, it is unacceptable; therefore I have to refer to the possible consequences as well.hu_HU
