The Effectiveness of Cooperation in the Language Classroom

Abstract

This thesis examines the possible advantages of cooperative techniques in language teaching. Today’s language methodology utilizes more and more of these techniques in order to provide life-like and real opportunity to communicate in classroom situations. This paper discusses the theoretical background as a starter and then I analyse some of my lessons which involved pair and group works. The main focus is on project works. The second half of the thesis details a full-scale project work, which was carried out in Tóth Árpád Gimnázium.
