Hungarian Bound Morphemes and Function Words in Child Language Acquisition

Abstract

The aim of this essay is to discuss the acquisition and use of bound morphemes and functional categories in English and Hungarian child language. I am going to elaborate on the · Possible reasons for the differences in production of these morphemes. Whether they are attributed to Hungarian language, environmental influences or cognitive skills of 2-3 years old children. · Possible reasons for the differences in the rate of acquisitions. In the first chapter I am going to provide the theoretical background from linguistic and applied linguistic contexts. In the second part of my thesis, I am going to draw conclusion on the basis of my research conducted in the créche of Cegléd.
