My study investigates two approaches that emerged in the study of child language, aiming to find an answer for this question: the experience-based approach and the nativist approach. In this thesis, after a more detailed examination of these two perspectives, I seek to provide support for the latter by using the findings of Stephen Crain on adults’ and children’s asymmetric interpretation of disjunction and the universal quantifier ‘every’.hu_HU
