The aim of my paper is to find out what is the connection and correlation between personality traits, language learning strategies and the efficiency or achievement of the language learner. I made a research in a Hungarian secondary school among 25 students. They had to fill out two questionnaires. The first one was a personality test, and the second one was a learning strategy test. While analyzing the data I subdivided the group of learners into 3 sub-groups; in the first, there were learners with grade 5, in the second, there were learners with grade 4, and in the last, there were learners with grade 3. I tried to find a connection between their personality type, learning strategies and their efficiency in language learning. As the results show, both factors are very important in language learning, and teachers should take these into consideration to make their work and the learners’ achievement more effective.hu_HU
