Male and Female Student's Turn-Taking Strategies in Classroom Interactions

Abstract

In this paper, I attempt to investigate gender differences in classroom interactions, focusing on male and female students’ participation rate. Relying on some relevant works in the field of gender studies, I observe turn-takings, interruptions, overlapping, and hand raisings made by secondary school students.
