Protection of trade marks in the European Union

Abstract

The thesis focuses on the importance of intellectual property right protection, especially on the protection of trade mark in the European Union. In this scope the thesis gives a brief over-look about why intellectual property rights are considered to have outmost significance, and provide a broader presentation on the formation of trade mark protection in the European Union and the procedure to be followed in order to protect a trade mark on that level, including the rights and possibilities.
