Overweight and obesity are a leading cause of a number of non-communicable diseases such as type 2 diabetes and ischemic heart disease. As students spend a lot of time in school, the school environment has the ability to have an impact on the choices students make and therefore can be used as an avenue to promote healthy food choices. The aim of this review is to evaluate the effectiveness of nudge-based intervention in promoting healthy food choice among students in schools and also to identify the types of nudge used and the most effective type that can be used to promote healthy food choice in schools.hu_HU
