In my thesis I intend to show why Lawrence has such a significant role in literature, besides I am going to represent the similarities and diversities between the most determining theories of the great psychoanalysist and the famous writer, and examine what way Freud’s concept influenced Lawrence’s interpretation of the unconscious. Then I wish to analyse the relationships of men and women based on sexuality, support, love, or even exploitation in Lawrence’s two works, Lady Chatterley’s Lover and The Fox. Moreover, I will draw a parallel between the novel and the novella regarding the protagonists’ love and the importance and expression of sexuality.hu_HU
