Development of a new database for the definition of transcription units based on human ChIA-Pet and ChIP-seq data in 3D proximity of CTCF binding domains
Absztrakt
ChIA-PET data helps understand the proximity of sequences and their positions in a 3D structure, while CHIP-SEQ identifies sequences that specific proteins interact with. By combining both methods, we can identify the relationship between promoter-protein complexes and other nearby sequences. CTCF is a highly conserved protein that plays a crucial role in DNA replication, chromatin architecture, and gene regulation. It mediates long-range chromatin interactions and acts as a barrier component to prevent the transfer of epigenetic markers. Raw ChIA-PET data was evaluated using ChIA-PET TOOLS v3 to identify promoter sequences close to CTCF binding domains, indicating that CTCF and the cohesin ring play a role in promoter activity.
