Absztrakt

The most popular intervention of behavioral economics is the nudge theory. The aim is to conduct a systematic review on the ethical discourse regarding the use of nudging in public health; mapping the ethical arguments, the principles and morally relevant distinctions that are used in the normative assessment of nudging in public health. Two frameworks are presented, Hansen and Jespersen's and MINDSPACE. It is concluded that nudges are context dependent and it could be ethically problematic if policymakers and healthcare providers do not scrutinize their methods and objectives sufficiently.
