In this paper, besides commenting on the fairy-tale form of the Chronicles of Narnia, I will analyze some of the allegorical elements in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. But firstly, I need to emphasize that many of my observations tend to be subjective and reflect my own understanding of the Chronicles. I agree with Hinten that “to find allegorical elements, or similarities, does not at all mean to find equalities” (108). Moreover, C. S. Lewis was resolute that even though the similarities between The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and the biblical story of Christ Jesus were really palpable, these similarities did not blend into allegories.hu_HU
