When bone resorption as a result of periodontal disease has been extended into the bi- or trifurcation of a multi-rooted tooth, it's clinically called as furcation involvement. This thesis is aimed to introduce furcation involvement including it's terminology, classifications, and diagnostic methods as well as different surgical and regenerative treatment modalities for furcation involved teeth.
