This thesis presents the history of soccer in the United States in a relatively detailed but simple way with special attention to the 1994 World Cup that was a turning point, along with the story of the Men’s National Team and its professional league, MLS, as well as the history of women’s soccer and other important or interesting things about soccer in the US, like media, supporters and so on. In short, this essay presents the history of men’s soccer and women’s soccer (both on the national and international level) with other special features, including American players abroad, foreign players in the USA, as well as soccer in the media and its impact on society.hu_HU
